Passionate, dedicated and skilled medical doctor with extensive experience in working in both rural and urban hospitals.Adept in properly diagnosing and strategizing for the best patient treatment plans, empathetic and committed to provide patient with the best care possible. A strong leader who works well under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Some of my skills are strong communication skills, best medical practice, preventive care, quality assurance and strong interpersonal skills among others. I am among the few educated females in my village and the only doctor at the time, hailing from a small village in Wajir Kenya. 

Worked with Médecins Sans Frontières for three years, been trained to be trainer of trainees, gotten a professional development certificates with university of Washington with leadership and management in health, also trained with world health organization and gotten a certificate of mental health and psychosocial support. Have a strong desire in humanitarian work .

Ilhan Dahir is a visionary leader, social entrepreneur, and changemaker, serving as the Board Chair of Climate and Health Connect (CHC). As the founder of Aert, an innovative fashion brand focused on sustainable design since 2016, Ilhan brings her deep commitment to eco-friendly practices to the forefront of CHC’s mission. Her experience in building a successful business that emphasizes sustainability aligns perfectly with CHC’s goals of addressing climate change and promoting health equity.

Growing up in Kenya, Ilhan’s creativity and determination led her to create a global brand known for its environmental consciousness. Through partnerships with major retailers like Target and Amazon, she has not only expanded her business but also championed sustainability on a global scale. Her expertise in blending business acumen with environmental responsibility directly supports CHC’s efforts to create sustainable solutions for communities vulnerable to climate change.

Ilhan’s academic background, with master’s degrees in applied economics and business Analytics, strengthens her role at CHC, providing her with the strategic insight necessary to guide the organization’s growth and impact. She is deeply passionate about empowering women and building lasting, beneficial networks. Her leadership is instrumental in advancing CHC’s work in fostering resilience, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and driving meaningful change.

Administration professional eager to implement actions and strategies to improve organizational efficiency, and achieve organizational goals. With a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce – Human Resource management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Training, and experience working in both Corporate and Humanitarian Contexts, she ensures organizational activities and operations run seamlessly, by providing extensive administration and technical support.

As a medical doctor and published researcher, Cyrus brings a wealth of knowledge and innovative solutions to address some of the most critical challenges affecting vulnerable communities.

His commitment to understanding and mitigating the effects of climate change on human health is perfectly aligned with CHC’s mission. Cyrus leverages his research expertise to explore cutting-edge approaches to climate resilience, particularly in regions where climate-induced health risks are prevalent. With a holistic approach to evaluation, tracks the progress and impact of CHC’s projects to ensure they are responsive to the real needs of the communities they serve.

Her expertise in monitoring, project management, and stakeholder engagement allows her to design and implement evaluation frameworks that capture both immediate and long-term outcomes. This ensures that CHC’s interventions are not only sustainable but also equitable to foster resilience in vulnerable populations. Zeinab’s work is instrumental in refining CHC’s strategies to help the organization adapt to evolving challenges while staying focused on its mission of enhancing community well-being.
